Steps of Life Coaching

Life Coaching is a journey of self discovery to help us to live happy and fulfilling lives.

Below is a list of a few of the steps of life coaching to help you to better understand the process and how it can help you as an individual on your journey of self discovery.

The Life Balance Workbook

We examine your life:

How you would like to be remembered, Social & Family Relationships,

Career and Education Aspirations, Money and Personal Finances, Health,

Recreation and Leisure,

Life's Routine Responsibilities, Contribution and Giving Back to Society,

Mental, Emotional and Spiritual Health.

Getting to the Core of who you are

Most people spend their lives attempting to be somebody they aren’t.

The real power comes from accepting the truth of who you are and running with it to the very best of your ability.

We look at what you do, how you’re you, and who you are.

Finding Limiting Beliefs

We want to establish what is true.

We go through a series of questions to find out what beliefs you have that are holding you back to living the most fulfilling life possible.

Patterns of Unhelpful Thinking

We go over 7 different unhelpful thought patterns.

We must first be able to recognize them, before we can challenge them.

Being aware of these unhelpful thought patterns can help you to police them more efficiently.

Policing Your Thoughts

If we are unaware of our thoughts, we cannot control our emotions.

Challenging these thoughts can often help us to change them, which then also helps us to change how we feel.

Choices of Maturity and Character

We take time to explore and unpack 7 different choices of maturity and character.

If we start living by these, we can live positively and help ourselves and others.

Facts, Feelings, and Faith Framework

We can choose to view life based on feelings, faith, or the facts.

The truth is already in us, we just need to learn to how to be more grounded in the truth.

Fear and Anxiety

The only thing we control in life is how we choose to act or respond to situations and circumstances we find ourselves in.

We look at what is the opposite of Fear and Anxiety, using the fear vs. faith framework.

The Drop Down Through Model

This tool is used to deal with negative emotions, such as stress.

It can be employed during a stressful event, when thinking about an event that could be stressful, and to eliminate a negative emotion from a previous event.

The Emotional IQ Model

This describes the natural order of our emotions.

It has been designed to help you to build emotional self-awareness,

because the more we understand ourselves, we can build a life based on the value we have of ourselves.

Mistaken Beliefs

Mistaken beliefs are where negative self-talk stems from.

They are deep rooted beliefs or assumptions that we hold about ourselves, other people, and life in general. We work through these, because the more aware we become, the more we can help ourselves.

Visual DNA

How we see ourselves will often determine how we conduct ourselves around other people. This helps you to find out how you see yourself , which in turn helps you to better understand how you interact with others.

Core Beliefs

Questions are a powerful tool as they force us to reflect and find answers.

These 50 deep questions force us to examine ourselves, and often they challenge our beliefs about what we ‘think we know’ to be true.

The Wise Mind Model

The mind has 3 states.

We all posses each of these states, but the majority of people operate in a specific one most of the time. We examine these 3 states and how the wise mind works for you.

Core Values

We first need a clear understanding of what values are.

We then work on defining your values through a 6-step process, because when things don’t align with our values, that is when we start feeling like something is wrong. This can lead to unhappiness and frustration.

The Art of Reflecting Back

We go over this technique to help you become a far more effective listener.

When used correctly, this will help play a pivotal part in driving a conversation forward and also in avoiding miscommunications.

The Ladder of Inference

Have you ever been accused of putting 2 and 2 together and making 5, when someone else thinks you’ve jumped to the wrong conclusion?

We work on reasoning things through and thinking about the facts in order to avoid miscommunications.

Don’t Judge a Book by its Cover

The cover of a book will always have its importance, but the cover isn’t the whole book, and covers don’t tell the whole story.

This exercise helps you to assess yourself from the outside-in and then to the inside-out.
